Refund, Deferral & Transfer Policies
There are absolutely NO refunds, even in the event of a race cancellation. If the race is canceled, you will receive a free deferral to the next rescheduled date. You may Defer or Transfer your Bib to another person if those races are not at or above 80% capacity. Event Transfers may also be restricted due to participant caps. There are absolutely NO illegal transfers of entries to other individuals. No exceptions. All Deferrals, Event transfers and Bib Transfers must be done online through your RunSignUp Account (Cut-off dates and fees apply). Once we receive and accept your entry, you will NOT receive a refund if you cannot participate. Packet Pick Up will be held Friday and Saturday for Live races at the Sports & Fitness Expo. There is NO SUNDAY PACKET PICK UP. Please select "Sunday Emergency Packet Pick Up" during this registration if you are unable to make it to Packet Pick Up.
There are NO illegal transfers of bibs to other runners, NO exceptions. All Transfers of bibs to another runner must be done online through the "Bib Transfer to Another Runner" on the CoDelRun.com website.

You must run the race you registered for or Switch Races (Transfer Event). Switching Races (Transfer Event) must be done online through the "Switching Races" on the CoDelRun.com website. Fees apply. Event Transfers may be restricted.
Race switching (transfer) is only available for events that are not at or above 80% capacity and/or the race is open to transfers.
You may switch from your current Coastal Delaware Running Festival race to one of our other Coastal Delaware Running Festival races, however you will not receive a refund of registration fee. If you are switching from one CoDel race to a more expensive CoDel race, you must pay the difference in race fee from what you initially paid for your original category to your new race category’s fee at the time of the switch. There will be a $5.00 fee to switch your race entry up until 4/1/2024. After 4/1/2024 the fee increases to $25. If you are switching from one CoDel race to a more expensive CoDel race, you will pay the difference in entry fees PLUS the transfer fee.
The last day to Switch Races online is 4/10/2022. Any switching of races after this will need to be done at Packet Pick Up and will require the same fee schedule as described above including the transfer fee.

Focus Multisports has a no refund policy.
It is imperative that the registration data associated with your race number does in fact belong to you, the participant. If race organizers become aware that a runner has participated in one of our events with a bib that is not registered to that runner, both the runner and the person whom the bib is registered will be prohibited from participating in subsequent Focus Multisports events for a minimum of two years.
Deferrals
You may defer your event registration only from the 2024 Coastal Delaware Running Festival to the 2025 event.
The fee to defer a registration is:
$30 for Full Marathon
$30 for the Half Marathon
$30 for Challenge Runs
$15 for the 9k.
$10 for the 5k.
You may only defer to and from the same event: 2024 Half Marathon to the 2025 Half Marathon, 2024 full marathon to the 2025 full marathon, the 2024 9K to the 2025 9K, 2024 Challenge Run to same 2025 Challenge Run. If you would like to upgrade to a more expensive event, you will need to pay the difference in cost. If you downgrade to a less expensive event, you will not receive a refund or credit for the difference in cost. Registrations may not be transferred to another person. Refunds will not be issued under any circumstances. All deferrals must be made by April 1, 2024 at 11:59 pm. NO EXCEPTIONS! After that time you will not be able to defer to the following year. You may only defer an entry twice (I.e., if you deferred your 2023 entry to 2024, you will be able to defer it again in 2024 to 2025.) There will be no deferrals at the Sports and Fitness Expo. A credit for any purchased Add-Ons will be deferred to re-purchase add ons for the next year.
The 2023 Coastal Delaware Running Festival will be held on April 13-14, 2024.

Minimum Two-Year Event Ban for Unauthorized Runners
Our past races have been marred by numerous participants running under the guise of someone else’s race number. While this may seem harmless to the parties perpetrating the unauthorized bib transfer, it does convey serious consequences to the organizers and participant field alike.
From race results to finishers’ awards being impacted as well as medical staff being able to correctly identify participants in need of treatment, it is imperative that the registration data associated with your race number does in fact belong to you, the participant.
Thus, if race organizers become aware that a runner has participated in one of our events wtih a bib that is not registered to that runner, both the runner and the person to whom the bib is registered will be prohibited from participating in subsequent Focus Multisports events for a minimum of two years.
